Our story
From Family Tex to Fabrex.
The story began as Family Tex, founded in 1988 in Abbasiya, Cairo — exporting premium textiles to the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Canada and Germany.
The company operated as New Family Tex & Treco from 2003, paused briefly in 2016, and was relaunched as Fabrex in 2023, with a renewed vision and headquarters in Shoubra, Cairo.
Today we serve hospitality, healthcare and international fashion — combining decades of expertise with modern production standards.
1988
Family Tex founded in Abbasiya, Cairo — exporting premium textiles to the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Canada and Germany.
2000
Manufactured Netherlands national team fan shirts for UEFA Euro 2000.
2003
Operated as New Family Tex & Treco, broadening contract manufacturing.
2023
